Course Description: This two-day Certified Scrum Product Owner certification course provides the jumping off point for you to take on the hardest role in Scrum, being a Product Owner.  Being an effective Product Owner is difficult, but, if executed well, it can be incredibly rewarding as speed to market and value will grow substantially.  On completion of the course you are registered as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) with a two-year membership in the Scrum Alliance ( where valuable materials and information are available exclusively to CSPOs. 

Trainer: David Bulkin is VP of Training Services at LitheSpeed, where he delivers agile training and coaching.  David is also an agile editor at InfoQ (, and a frequent writer and speaker (Agile 20xx, Scrum Gathering, Agile Palooza, etc.).  David was an independent reviewer of the Project Management Institutes body of knowledge for agile.  David has over 25 years experience delivering software and systems and has been applying agile methods for 10+ years across the entire value stream from strategy and product ideation to development and support.  He has helped hundreds journey from plan driven to adaptive, resulting in increased ROI and satisfaction.  As a Certified Scrum Trainer, David delivers Certified ScrumMaster and Certified Product Owner Training along with non certified workshops including team and requirements.  As a coach and consultant David helps organizations adopt and expand their use of agile.  While on the Board of Directors at the Center for Program Transformation David prepared Senate testimony on IT Oversight and contributed to federal legislation.  From 1999 to 2004 David managed large scale, mission critical technology projects as a VP at JP Morgan Chase where his eBanking team transitioned to agile.  In the 1990’s he built an Internet startup, and, as a member of the Software Program Managers Network, identified best practices and conveyed them to managers of large-scale DoD acquisition programs.
